On July 21, the Children's Hospital Association (CHA) responded to a Medicaid state directed payment (SDP) proposed rule. The letter outlines key recommendations to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services aimed at mitigating the impact of the H.R. 1 Medicaid cuts on children’s health.

As emphasized in the comments, the most effective way to protect children from these harmful impacts is to fully exempt children’s hospitals and pediatric services from the SDP limits.
