CHA submitted comments on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Advancing Interoperability and Prior Authorization proposed rule. The proposed rule aims to streamline prior authorization processes and modify related electronic data exchange requirements for plans and providers.

Our comments highlighted provisions within the proposed rule that would affect children's health and hospitals. CHA proposed recommendations to improve the exchange of electronic health information and prior authorization processes in pediatric care.
